HUMAN TRAFFICKING AWARENESS

As a member of the Sonoma County Human Trafficking Task Force, members of the PPD staff work alongside other non-profit and law-enforcement agencies to educate the public on Human Trafficking Awareness, prevention, and local resources that available.

An important aspect of this outreach is dedicated to quarterly community presentations and panel discussions to problem-solve needed changes in public policy, programs in local schools and the availability of direct services for victims and their families.

Funds received through private donations and/or grants are used to augment these categories. To date, funds received by the PPF have been used to promote public safety through movie showings followed by a panel of experts, highway billboards, and in school educational presentations on junior-high and high-school campuses.
